This Privacy Policy explains how Gold Rush Events collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you use our website, mobile application, ticketing services, events, communications and related services.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, references to "Gold Rush Group", "Gold Rush", "we", "us" or "our" refer to Gold Rush Group and/or Events and the entity responsible for operating the Gold Rush Group website and mobile application.

Your account may also be associated with event registrations, ticket purchases, saved tickets, marketing preferences and other interactions with Gold Rush Events.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information provided through your account is accurate and current.

3. Event and Ticket Information

Gold Rush Events may integrate with third-party ticketing providers, including Humanitix, to display events, facilitate ticket purchases or allow tickets and bookings to be associated with your account.

Where you purchase or register for a ticket through a third-party ticketing provider, that provider may separately collect and process your personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms.

Gold Rush Events may receive information relating to your booking or ticket where required to:

  • provide access to your tickets;

  • identify your registration;

  • provide event information;

  • assist with customer support;

  • communicate important event updates;

  • administer an event; or

  • maintain your Gold Rush Events account.

Payment card information may be processed directly by a third-party payment or ticketing provider. Gold Rush Events does not intend to directly store complete payment card details unless expressly stated at the time of payment.

4. How We Use Your Information

We may use your personal information to:

  • create and manage your account;

  • provide and operate the Gold Rush Events app and website;

  • display your tickets and event information;

  • process or facilitate registrations and purchases;

  • provide customer support;

  • communicate changes, cancellations, reminders or information relating to an event;

  • prevent fraud, misuse or unauthorised activity;

5. Marketing Communications

Where you provide consent, Gold Rush Events may use your name, email address, phone number and relevant account or event information to send you marketing communications.

  • upcoming Gold Rush Events;

  • ticket releases and presales;

  • venue or event announcements;

  • artist announcements; and

  • other Gold Rush Events news and promotions.

You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time.

Email marketing communications will ordinarily include an unsubscribe option. Where SMS marketing is used, an appropriate unsubscribe method will be provided.

Withdrawing from marketing does not prevent us from sending essential service communications, such as ticket confirmations, account security messages or important information relating to an event you have registered for.

Gold Rush Events maintains records of marketing preferences and consent where reasonably necessary.

6. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party providers to operate or support our services.

Depending on the features you use, these providers may include services relating to:

  • event ticketing;

  • payment processing;

  • website hosting;

  • application hosting and infrastructure;

  • authentication;

  • database and cloud storage;

  • email and SMS communications;

  • analytics;

  • customer support; and

  • application distribution through services such as the Apple App Store and Google Play.

We may provide personal information to these providers where reasonably necessary for them to perform services on our behalf.

Third-party services may also independently collect information under their own privacy policies.

7. Humanitix

Gold Rush Events may use Humanitix to provide ticketing and event registration services.

Where Humanitix is used, information connected with your booking may be processed by Humanitix and may also be made available to Gold Rush Events as the event organiser.

Your use of Humanitix may also be subject to Humanitix's own privacy policy and terms.

8. Apple and Google

If you download or use the Gold Rush Events app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may collect information relating to your download, device, account and use of their services.

Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies and is separate from this Privacy Policy.

9. Analytics and Technical Information

We may collect technical information about how our website or app is used.

This may include:

  • device type;

  • operating system;

  • app version;

  • browser information;

  • IP address;

  • approximate location derived from technical information;

  • crash and diagnostic data;

Some technology and service providers used by Gold Rush Events may process or store information outside Australia.

The countries in which information is processed may depend on the service provider and its infrastructure.

Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure personal information disclosed to overseas recipients is handled appropriately.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

However, no online platform, database or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should protect your account credentials and notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

Some information may also be editable directly through your Gold Rush Events account.

We may need to verify your identity before processing a privacy request.

15. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Gold Rush Events account and associated personal information.

Where available, this can be requested through the Gold Rush Events app or by contacting us using the contact information below.

When an account deletion request is completed, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account unless we are required or reasonably permitted to retain particular information.

For example, certain transaction, financial, fraud prevention, legal or event records may need to be retained for a period after an account is deleted.

Deleting your Gold Rush Events account does not necessarily delete information independently held by third-party services such as Humanitix. Requests concerning information held directly by those providers may need to be made to the relevant provider.

16. Withdrawing Consent

Where we rely on your consent to collect or use information, you may withdraw that consent.

Withdrawal may affect your ability to use a feature where the relevant information is necessary to provide that feature.

Marketing consent can be withdrawn without closing your Gold Rush Events account.

17. Children's Privacy

The Gold Rush Events app and services are not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where doing so would be inappropriate or unlawful.

Individual events may also be subject to minimum age requirements, including 18+ restrictions.

Users must comply with the age restrictions applying to each event.

18. Australian Privacy

Where applicable, Gold Rush Events handles personal information in accordance with Australian privacy and communications laws.

These may include the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

We may update this Privacy Policy where our services, technology, legal obligations or data-handling practices change.

The current version will be published on our website and the effective date shown at the top of this policy will be updated.

Where a change is significant, we may also provide notice through the app, website or another appropriate communication method.
